Job Description

Based in Bentonville, AR with remote work options, this director-level role centers on Walmart and Sam's Club sales and aims to drive revenue and profitability for our US product lines at the retailer. You will lead short-, mid-, and long-term growth plans, shape annual and multi-year strategies, and partner with retailer leadership to execute winning programs. Reporting to the Sr. Director – Alternate Channel Sales, you will manage a P&L, guide broker partners, and collaborate across teams to accelerate growth. Relocation to Northwest Arkansas is required to align with the market footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual customer planning process for Walmart and Sam's Club to meet sales targets and identify growth strategies.
  • Oversee a 3-year strategic planning cycle for Walmart and Sam's Club, including joint business planning and development of innovative initiatives.
  • Build and sustain relationships with Walmart and Sam's Club leaders and partners.
  • Manage broker partners and ensure accurate execution of strategic plans.
  • Apply analytics to guide forecasting and influence merchandising execution.
  • Develop and implement eCommerce strategies to drive growth.
  • Manage the customer P&L and optimize sales spending.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft winning strategies and plans.
  • Contribute to new product development and identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide input for company programs and long-term plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7–10 years of progressive retail sales experience in the US grocery sector.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Walmart and/or Sam's Club.
  • Proven track record in large account management.
  • Experience with branded and control label portfolios.
  • Category experience is a plus.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and track record assessing retail metrics.
  • Experience in trade promotion and broker management.
  • Ability to execute effective growth strategies and drive results.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and executive presence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related applications.
  • Experience in P&L management and forecasting.
  • Skilled in team building, mentoring, and developing talent.
  • Deep industry knowledge and customer understanding.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Experience managing sales budgets and analyzing data.

Supervisory responsibilities

  • Manage broker team direction.

Working conditions and physical effort

  • Primarily work in an office or remote environment with relocation to Northwest Arkansas required.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Travel approximately 30% of the time.
