Responsibilities

  • Oversee the North Dakota Manufacturing Ecosystem as the project lead, building and sustaining partnerships with manufacturers, economic developers, government agencies, and external partners
  • Identify new client opportunities and expand service offerings
  • Grow partnerships through meetings and events
  • Conduct sales calls and pursue business development activities
  • Monitor industry trends and analyze market dynamics
  • Build in person relationships with all stakeholders
  • Conduct company assessments of North Dakota manufacturers, maintaining accurate CRM data including capabilities, capacities, needs, and solutions
  • Perform on site assessments by evaluating business challenges
  • Keep CRM records up to date
  • Offer measurable assistance to manufacturers and other industries
  • Facilitate planning sessions
  • Design improvement initiatives
  • Deliver technical assistance, training, and planning projects that yield measurable client improvements, including strategic planning, succession planning, and implementation of quantifiable solutions
  • Serve as the principal account manager for third party training and consulting engagements
  • Help clients quantify benefits and impacts from services and assist them with completing NIST MEP surveys
  • Collect and analyze metrics
  • Coach clients on impact reporting
  • Cross-sell services
  • Identify additional client needs and recommend appropriate Impact Dakota services
  • Participate in staff meetings, strategic planning sessions, and organizational events
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends to support continuous improvement of client service offerings

Requirements

  • A degree in business, engineering, finance, human resources, marketing, management, or a related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience leading the development and provision of services to businesses across manufacturing and non manufacturing sectors
  • Strong project management background with planning, execution, and performance measurement of complex client engagements
  • Proficient with computers and common business software including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and CRM/databases
  • Experience delivering training, workshops, and executive level presentations
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to undertake overnight travel across North Dakota as required
  • Experience building and maintaining collaborative relationships with manufacturers, economic developers, state and local government agencies, suppliers, and other external partners
  • Ability to pass a criminal history background check
  • Project management and client account management skills
  • Skilled at conducting company assessments and translating findings into actionable recommendations
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify client needs and propose appropriate services
  • Demonstrated ability to quantify benefits and impacts of services delivered to clients
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting organizational goals
  • Ability to maintain accurate records in CRM systems
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a multi client, multi project environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effective collaboration with decision makers and the preparation of professional reports and proposals
  • Proven track record of achievement in roles requiring accountability and independent judgment
