Regional Sales Director
Job Description
Regional Sales Director overseeing sell-through in the San Francisco region, responsible for achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and guiding a team of Transversal Sales and Training Executives.
Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed regional retail sales targets by conducting strategic analysis and executing company initiatives.
- Assess regional business performance and collaborate with leadership to craft strategic action plans that drive profitable brand growth.
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships with internal teams and external partners to deepen business understanding and achieve strong sales outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and collaborate with the team to foster growth and manage performance across sales and training executives.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work culture aligned with delivering company initiatives.
- Recruit, develop, lead, and coach Sales and Training Executives to meet retail sales targets and budgets.
- Review weekly Transversal reporting, Retail Sales data, and Freelance SPH/ROI with the Sales and Training Executives to ensure understanding and alignment.
- Support and empower STEs in their markets to lead by example and coach others.
- Maintain regular team and one-on-one communications with STEs to sustain cohesive performance management.
- Ensure M.A.P.P.P.™ methodology is applied by STEs across retailers and brands in line with defined principles.
- Manage and monitor all financial budgets, including freelance and travel expenses (T&E).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and develop business opportunities.
- Provide effective internal and external communications, including business recaps, stock needs, and market feedback.
- Plan and execute in-store and virtual events and activations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of management experience in fragrance, cosmetics, or skincare.
- 7+ years of proven leadership, managing high-performing executive teams in Open-Sell and Department Store environments.
- Travel up to 50% of the time; overnight travel to markets may be required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or management is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Track record of creating sales strategies and consistently achieving sales plans.
- History of developing winning, high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication with internal and external teams.
- Ability to identify, prioritize, and adapt to multiple needs and shifting priorities.
- Skilled at forming productive partnerships with retailers.
- Willingness to travel overnight to markets.
- Valid driver’s license.
