Job Description
Senior IT Sales and Marketing Manager based in Puerto Rico (hybrid) leads sales and client relationships across regions, driving growth in IT solutions.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and implement regional and global sales strategies aligned with company objectives; analyze market trends and competitive performance to identify opportunities; forecast sales performance and establish budgets and revenue targets; plan, execute and follow up on prospecting and lead generation for new clients and opportunities; manage, refine, and report on all sales and marketing activities.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and mentor sales representatives and account managers; set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations; foster a high performance culture through coaching and professional development; collaborate with hardware, software, services and development resources to define technical activities and requirements to deliver optimal solutions for clients.
- Client & Account Management: Manage current customer and new prospect pipeline; prepare proposals, present to clients, follow up and close deals; maintain and grow relationships with enterprise clients and strategic partners; lead high-value negotiations for hardware, software licensing, and managed services; ensure customer satisfaction and handle escalations; assist with overdue collection efforts as needed.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, product, engineering, and support to align go-to-market strategies; coordinate with supply chain and logistics to ensure delivery of IT hardware solutions; collaborate with finance and management to structure complex deals and proposals; adhere to JDW policies and procedures.
- Sales Operations & Reporting: Track pipeline activity using CRM systems (Salesforce); generate sales reports and present KPIs and revenue goals to executive leadership; ensure compliance with internal processes, legal, and industry regulations; maintain up-to-date CRM records.
- Technical & Product Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of the company portfolio (servers, storage, networking, cloud, cybersecurity, etc.); stay current on digital transformation, AI, and IT modernization; support presales and technical consultants in tailoring solutions for client needs.
- Channel & Partner Management: Build and manage relationships with channel partners, resellers, and system integrators; drive joint go-to-market and channel initiatives; monitor partner performance and adherence to agreements; establish productive relationships with distributors, vendors and other external entities supporting sales efforts.
- Deal Structuring & Pricing Strategy: Approve and oversee complex pricing models, discounts, and bids for enterprise projects; ensure profitability while maintaining competitiveness in RFPs and tenders.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of proven, verifiable sales experience in information technology companies including enterprise software, consulting, and enterprise hardware sales.
- Server virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
- Application development background.
- Enterprise core business software experience (ESB, ECM, CRM, BPM, ERP, etc.).
- Cloud solutions experience.
- Disaster recovery solutions experience.
- Data safeguarding and backup solutions.
- Managed services experience.
- Backend hardware and software security solutions (pen tests, application security monitoring).
- End user security solutions (antivirus, ransomware, phishing protection).
- Enterprise hardware experience (servers, storage systems, NAS).
- Software availability and performance monitoring solutions.
- Networking hardware experience (routers, firewalls, switches).
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and outgoing personality.
- Excellent people and communication skills.
- Sales achievements and work references required (past three years).
- Highly motivated and independent, with a results-oriented mindset.
- At least five customer sales references demonstrating IT software, hardware and consulting experience (will be verified).
- Strong interest and passion for information technology.
- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English (written and oral).
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
