District Management Group (DMGroup) is hiring a Business Development Representative for the DMSchedules team. This hybrid role based in Boston gives you a direct path to building qualified pipeline by working with established sales and marketing systems, partnering closely with account managers, and helping school districts understand how DMSchedules can support their scheduling needs.
In this position, you will conduct high-volume outreach, qualify leads, and set up product demonstrations. Youβll also play a key role in keeping customer and opportunity records accurate by using tools like Salesforce, Hubspot, Outreach, Apollo, or Zoho, while collaborating with sales and marketing to continuously refine outreach strategy.
What youβll do
- Run a high volume of cold calls and outreach to prospective schools and district administrators.
- Use a consultative approach to clearly communicate the purpose and benefits of DMSchedules.
- Qualify leads and schedule sales and product demo meetings with account managers.
- Follow up on inbound leads and re-engage inactive or dormant accounts.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to improve outreach strategy.
- Use sales and marketing systems to capture, track, and maintain accurate customer records, sales opportunity details, and outreach notes.
- Build awareness of DMSchedules and other DMGroup solutions with school districts and schools nationwide.
- Participate in cross-functional sales and marketing meetings to understand the full sales cycle, including lead generation, qualification, demos, relationship building, requirements discovery, proposals, and contract finalization.
- Complete other sales-related tasks as assigned.
What you bring
- Bachelorβs degree preferred.
- Prior experience in an outside sales environment with high-volume calling and/or emailing.
- Ability to persevere after hearing βnoβ multiple times.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- High Emotional Intelligence and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
- Commitment to excellent customer service.
- Comfort with Salesforce, Hubspot, or similar tools such as Outreach, Apollo, or Zoho.
- Competence with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and other standard software applications.
- Education experience and/or interest in education is a plus.

Location: DMGroup headquarters are in Boston, MA. This role is based out of the Boston office with flexibility to work from home up to two days a week based on schedule and team needs.

Compensation: $60,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
